Antidote to Perfection

Perfectionist they say, until you realize that the ugly part of being a perfectionist is when nothing ever satisfies you, especially if you’re a creative.

The desire to be a 100/100 drives you so hard that instead of it to push you forward it rather makes you stagnant because your own craft never satisfies you, in the end it decreases your productivity.

Perfectionism is the reason why a lot of us, have not put out any craft yet we create every second as though our life depend on it, we are under so much pressure to create an excellent craft or image and in the process we become anxious and procrastinate.

The funny part is God is not even expecting us to be 💯 percent perfect in our ways, a lot of people have drawn away from purpose because they feel they’re not perfect to suit the call, I can relate.

A lot of times, I’d make 10 or more content videos and still delete all. It’s always that internalized pressure of wanting everything to look a certain way. You’d be surprised to find out the little things that makes me delete them but today, I just feel the urge to let you know that it’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay if you’re like this as well but it’s not okay to make perfectionism hinder your progress or make you delay projects.

Do it anyway, I’d say.

I hope you won’t let your desire to be always perfect become the enemy you’re nurturing.
